Hi Media Studies Crew, I can't believe that this long process of filming has came to an end! Here is my creative critical reflection, to express my journey throughout the filming process. Hope you enjoy!

Hello Media Studies Crew, I am back. Today, my group and I will be going over our previous film. This time, we're considering the prior complaint we received from one of our friends. Although the majority of the feedback was favorable, we are revising CapCut to make it the best it can be. One of her main complaints was the audio. I then (the editor) asked Michelle and me to work together to see if we could make our video sound louder. This led us into a major internet loophole. Michelle searched on TikTok, which has become the new Google. I spent some time looking through YouTube videos for a solution. After what felt like 500 videos, we discovered a solution. On CapCut, they had the option of increasing the media volume, which we did. We also finished evaluating minor matters such as the timing of our videos. We also received additional feedback about a teacher we truly enjoy. This teacher offered us input on how our video's picture compared to others. Our group then reviewed ...

 When we sent our video to Eileen, she thought the idea of murder in a high school was not unusual, but we added a twist that kept her intrigued throughout the film. Eileen's viewpoint was important to Michelle, Rose, and I since she critiqued and provided comments on our video. But because she is a buddy. We wanted her to actually enjoy it. She compiled a list of advantages and disadvantages after seeing the film. She praised what we did well and identified areas for improvement. The positives were that she thought we had terrific angles, nice lighting, costumes, and fear. The downside was the audio. She said that the angles we used for each image were appropriate. That even though they were simple, we weren't attempting to dominate our work. Regarding the lighting, she commended us on our ability to work as the sun was sinking. We had limited control over this, but we did an excellent job. She thought our clothes matched our idea when it came to fitting the characters' co...

 Hello Media Studies Crew, I'm back. Today marks the first class session since we finished editing at my house. I believe today is one of the most difficult dates since we chose our song. When we initially heard about the project, we devised an idea. Kendrick Lamar's song 'United at Grief' was now stuck in my head. When I told my teacher, she told us that we needed permission from the producer/singer or our video would be copyrighted. After she described the procedure of obtaining rights, my colleagues and I began sending an email to TDE Business, Kendricks' production business. After I typed and sent the email. I saw they had returned my email pretty instantly. This was due to their email inbox being filled. It was a good thing we started this process early on so that we could have a backup plan in place. I looked into various means to contact his team, but it was difficult. I then called my group and informed them that it would not be possible to use this song. I ...

 Hi Media Studies Crew! Today, my group returned to my place to finish the editing process. After we left his house yesterday, he decided to try to finish editing. While he played around, he modified some of the things we had already done as a group. When Michelle and I observed these alterations, we weren't pleased. As a group, we had to discuss if the alterations looked better or worse for our type of film. These revisions gave the film a more mysterious appearance rather than the horror image we were aiming for. After voting, we determined that it was better if we did not keep the adjustments, but we kept a copy of this film to show our critics during the peer review process. We started the CapCut process all over again. Adding the clips, modifying the credits, and setting the timing appropriately. Hello Media Studies Crew, I'm back. I'm beginning the editing process with my group today. Towards the end of the filming process, though, I lost a lot of motivation.We have completed every scene, which I am happy to announce. I am the my group's designated editor. Despite me handling the most of the editing, my group members are still attempting to contribute. To do this, we're utilizing our imagination to create the layout itself. Any of the credits will be placed on open space in the layout design. During the filming process, we also kept this in mind. I  assembled and edited all of the clips to match the time while my group members assisted me. We also decided to choose a name for our studio collectively. This amounted to a discussion of sorts. What I yearned for were visionary films but Infinity Studios was what Michelle and Rose desired.  Hello Media Studies Crew! I felt like I was missing some crucial photos, even though I discovered now that I had completed the most of them. I thus reviewed some of the essentials. When a film grips audiences from start to finish, they usually want to know what will happen next. The first step in filming a difficult moment is choosing the perfect location. The director and cinematographer should carefully examine the lighting, camera angles, and shot framing. Having said all of that, I discovered I could change several of these components to heighten the impact. The first step was figuring out what type of pictures I had been utilizing. In order to build suspense and tension, this genre frequently uses extreme close-ups, medium shots, and close-ups are widely used in genre. Smooth, deliberate, and progressive camera motions are necessary to heighten the tension. This made me consider how the lighting and angle effects, as well as the use of sound, were used in the film. Hey Media Studies Crew, good to have you back! Today, my group and I continued practicing some shots and angles. I started off by letting my group know that they could come over, to film.  I made sure all the props we had gathered last time were accounted for, and then I went through my scenes repeatedly. Before hitting record, I practiced a few times with the props. These recordings will serve as our starting point for the film. Once I review the footage, I'll make any necessary adjustments or improvements before putting together the final video. Moving on, I shot my first scene where I checked outside the door for any potential stalkers (played by Michelle and I). However, this scene had to be redone because the lighting wasn't cooperating. I was aiming for a dark vibe, but it ended up making everything look unwatchable. It took a few more tries, but eventually, I got the lighting just right. Hey Media Studies Crew, welcome back! Today, my crew and I tackled another crucial step in our filming process: collecting props. This film requires quite a few props and costumes to set the right tone. We needed outfits with a casual vibe and various essential props. We kicked things off by meeting up at the thrift store near our school, 'Out of the Closet'. There, I snagged a cheap yet suitable outfit that epitomized a typical teenager, along with some makeup tools to add realism to the "dead" look we're aiming for. We tried our best to split the costs evenly among us. After that, we quickly headed to my house to start practicing with our new props. On the way home, we spotted another store, 'Goodwill', so we made a brief stop to check out anything else of interest. However, we didn't find anything else worthwhile, so we continued home. Hey there, Blog! Welcome back. Today, my group and I started practicing some shots and angles. We began at my place. Once we arrived, I made sure all the props were set up properly while my friends helped out. Then, I ran through my scenes a few times to get comfortable with them before we started recording. We're doing a trial run where each of us records our scenes for later review. After I check out my footage, I'll see if anything needs adjusting before we officially start filming and editing everything together. Moving on, we started shooting our first scene with Michelle and me working on the plan. It took a few tries because everyone was a bit nervous and there was some laughter. But after a few scenes, they really got into character and the shots started looking pretty good, in my opinion. Then, Rose and I switched places so I could do my scenes.  Hi media studies crew, its been quite a while, but I am here to catch you up! My partners and I are wrapping up our choice today over the ultimate task's location. In order to select which of our houses would be used for the filming sequences, my group agreed to get together over the weekend. Owen showed Michelle and I his kitchen, living room, and attic first. These are a few of the places I considered because they were used for the majority of the filming. After this, my group and I went on our own explorations to our families or friends houses, hunting for the best choice. I visited my grandmas house and cousins house but found a few complications with them. In my grandmas house, it is slightly small so it would be hard for us to do certain scenes where we move around a lot. This could also cause safety issues if we run into something by accident.   The opening credits of my film will appear in two different digital fonts that appear to be "typed" in the middle or right/left corners of the film. Some credits will be embedded into the setting. For example, their may be credits written in places such as the front of the home, the kitchen, the loft and on kitchen tools such knives.  Working title: "Shadow of Betrayal" The title will be in the font called "ITC Serif Gothic", all words will appear capitalized: SOMETHING ALONG THIS LINE.  My titles will be "typed" onto the screen onto the screen and will appear to be being typed while appearing on the screen. They will disappear of the screen using the fade out affect. Each title will stay on the screen around 2-4 seconds each.  The fonts will range from the colors black, white, and red.
