Production Blog: Editing Process Pt. 2

Hi Media Studies Crew! Today, my group returned to my place to finish the editing process. After we left his house yesterday, he decided to try to finish editing. While he played around, he modified some of the things we had already done as a group. When Michelle and I observed these alterations, we weren't pleased. As a group, we had to discuss if the alterations looked better or worse for our type of film. These revisions gave the film a more mysterious appearance rather than the horror image we were aiming for. After voting, we determined that it was better if we did not keep the adjustments, but we kept a copy of this film to show our critics during the peer review process. We started the CapCut process all over again. Adding the clips, modifying the credits, and setting the timing appropriately. We resolved that all of us should be involved, and that no group work would be done until everyone was there. With everyone's curfew, we tried to finish all of the editing in the six hours we had. This meant that everyone was working together. Michelle was writing the credits and styling for each, while Rose and I looked for the ideal time for the clips. When we finished this, we looked into clever transitions that might be used to make our film appear more terrifying. This transitions include fade outs and ins. We also went over the instructions and requirements for the final job on the Cambridge website. After reviewing, we discovered that everything was correct and that we had met all requirements. By this point, I had already violated my curfew, so as a group, we halted the progress, leaving us with only the music eft. We'll add the music during the following class period. Bye, Medias Study Crew! I cannot wait to show you the finished product!
