Putting Together Ivy! The Music Video

Image
How is my Media Study Bloggers doing? I hope everything is well, but in todays blog I will be talking about the process of starting the editing of my music video. For my group, I am the assigned editor, since I know the most about editing. Since I will be editing, this will be a learning process for team including Michelle and Rose. We started editing today and are hopeful to finish the near future.  My group and I first selected the best clips out of our numerous tries. This is because for each scene we had multiple tries, so we tried to select our favorite ones that would look the best for a music video. After selecting the clips, I imported them on CapCut. I chose CapCut because I a most familiar with it as I have used it before including on my commercial about myself. Because of my familiarity with it, the process of showing and explaining to my group was easier. I then imported my audio into CapCut, but first showed my group members. I did this by first screen recording the audio

Part 2: Process of our Production

Hi Media Study Crew, thanks for coming back to another blog! Today I will talk about the finishing steps of my group and I filming our final scenes! Yesterday was the final day, so my group and I completed out scenes. I went back the beach and completed the scenes that we left out on. First, with my group we went back to the area we left on, and started to film again. This time it was easier for my group and I to film and plan because we have got used to the process of filming.  The idea that we had for our seventh scene got switched slightly, and my group and I ended up filming Michelle and I lip singing on different sides of the wall. This was done by us lip-singing on different sides of a pole and my group member Rose going in a 360 motion around us to film. This took us a few tries, but eventually up getting it the point where we loved the way it turned out. For the next scene, my group and I filmed a scene in the car displaying a bumpy road. This contributed towards showing a bum

Process of Producing: Its official!

How are you guys doing, my Media Study Crew! Today my group mates and I began the filming process of our music video. Today we filmed the first six scenes in our music video. The reason why we didn't film all of them today is because we did not want to rush the process. We want to truly get every scene as to close to perfect as we can, therefore rushing it would not be the best option. For our first six scenes it wasn't a short process but being able to see it start to come together was rewarding.  For the first scene, we were trying to recreate a deja vu moment within one of our group members, Michelle. This took us a few tries as it was our first scene we filmed, so we had to get used to filming in public spaces. After a few tries we got down the purpose we were trying to convey in that scene. By the time of the second scene, public filming came easy to us. We realized that no one was caring of paying attention to us filming in public, so there is nothing to be embarrassed o

Music Video : Additional Thinking!

Hi Media Study Crew! Welcome back to another blog where I will continue to talk about the process of my music video. To continue in the process of planning, my group and I discussed when we will be filming this video. Since in school we have a day where we get out early next week, we decided to do it on that day. We are going to go over to the beach after school and start this exciting journey of the music video. Me an my group continued to finalize and go over the plan of our musing video. We began to do this by thoroughly going through each scene. After getting to each scene we made sure that our ideas were okay a planned out well. We did this to assure an easy learning process when filming out video. Therefore, when getting to the beach to film the process will be quick and fun! We began to start planning further steps of this video as well. The topics that we discussed were things like the editing and when we want to have our project finalized by. For the editing software we plan o

Music Video: My thought process!

Hi Media Study Crew, what's going on! So far in the process of filming the video, my group and I have not started filming yet. Although we haven't started filming yet, we are finished with the planning and will start filming soon. For future blogs, I am planning on blogging every moment and step of the process of making my video. I am excited to create my music video so I can see my ideas that my group and I have made so far come to life. This song has a lot of meaning behind it because the words that this song has display a story. The story being told in this song is about a teenager breakup and what a toxic relationship looks like. These blogs and projects are more then assignments to me. This is because this a new experience for me. I have never made a music video before or learned about different elements of films.  This project allows me to obtain a new set of skills and gain new experiences.  During the preparation of this project my group and I did a good job at working

Introducing my group!

Image
Hello Media Studies Crew, thanks for coming back for yet another blog! For this music video, I will be working with my two close friends in my class, Roselyn Rodriguez and Michelle Martinez. I have had class with Michelle previously, but just had class with Roselyn this year. I chose to work with them because whenever given time in class to collaborate in class their ideas on topics and work impress me. Not only this, but they always turn in their work on time, in a scholarly manner.  It is also always good to be partnered up with someone that you a comfortable with when working together. I feel that this project will help us to get to know each other more and help teach each other. What I mean by this is that not all of us with think the same exact thing about everything, therefore we can share ideas inspiring new thought in each others minds. I know that if we work together this will be an easy and fun process for all of us. There won't be one specific person doing all the work,

Intro for music video!

Image
Hey Media Studies crew, i'm back again to introduce myself! Whats different this time is I am starting a fun adventure of creating a music video! My name is Owen Goldfond and my birthday is in November which makes me a big scorpio. To expand on that I am very proud to be a scorpio, this makes me emotional. secretive at times, loyal to the people I love, and ambitious.  Something else about me that makes up  a big part of my life is my job. I work at a place called Fuzzys Taco Shop and I am currently the Front of House manager. I have been at this job for almost a year now and it has given me a lot of different opportunities to learn and experience many different situations. I feel like the most important skill that I have obtained from this job is my patients. If you guys know anything about working in the service industry is that a lot of customers give workers attitude for no absolute reason. From the time I started to now I can definitely see an improvement on how I respond to
