Introducing my group!
Hello Media Studies Crew, thanks for coming back for yet another blog! For this music video, I will be working with my two close friends in my class, Roselyn Rodriguez and Michelle Martinez. I have had class with Michelle previously, but just had class with Roselyn this year. I chose to work with them because whenever given time in class to collaborate in class their ideas on topics and work impress me. Not only this, but they always turn in their work on time, in a scholarly manner. It is also always good to be partnered up with someone that you a comfortable with when working together. I feel that this project will help us to get to know each other more and help teach each other. What I mean by this is that not all of us with think the same exact thing about everything, therefore we can share ideas inspiring new thought in each others minds. I know that if we work together this will be an easy and fun process for all of us. There won't be one specific person doing all the work, and their will be equal effort put in. Lastly, I would just like to say that I take my education and grades very seriously and would not risk having people in my group that would out my education in jeopardy.
We debated for a little about what album we wanted to chose the song from. After narrowing it down, we decided to chose a song from the album "Blonde" by Frank Ocean. This is because to all of us his songs are meaningful because of the tone he states his lyrics and the actual words he says. This was important to all of us, as we knew we had to chose a song with meaning behind it. My group and I started to listen to the songs in the album together. After listening to the songs, we began the process of narrowing them down. This wasn't simple at all, as we love all the songs by this artist. We narrowed it down to ten, then five, then eventually the top two. The two that we got down to were Self-Control and Ivy. Ultimately, we chose the song Ivy by Frank Ocean. This is overall because we felt that we related with this song the most and the lyrics were most meaningful. This is overall because as a group, the song had an emotional meaning behind it connecting with the teenager experience the most. After that we found a clean version and just like that our song was chosen!
Just like that my blog has came to an end once again! Thank you Media Study Crew for tuning in, until next time. Peace out!
