Part 2: Process of our Production

Hi Media Study Crew, thanks for coming back to another blog! Today I will talk about the finishing steps of my group and I filming our final scenes! Yesterday was the final day, so my group and I completed out scenes. I went back the beach and completed the scenes that we left out on. First, with my group we went back to the area we left on, and started to film again. This time it was easier for my group and I to film and plan because we have got used to the process of filming.

The idea that we had for our seventh scene got switched slightly, and my group and I ended up filming Michelle and I lip singing on different sides of the wall. This was done by us lip-singing on different sides of a pole and my group member Rose going in a 360 motion around us to film. This took us a few tries, but eventually up getting it the point where we loved the way it turned out. For the next scene, my group and I filmed a scene in the car displaying a bumpy road. This contributed towards showing a bumpy road in the relationship because the relationship is on and off. This was an easier scene to film as Rose only had to film me an Michelle, from the front of the car. The ninth scene we are inputing a video of two kids walking on the beach, as a flashback to display me and Michelle when we were younger. This is because it correlates with the lyrics in the song, talking about not being kids anymore. By this time my group and I took a little break to eat and relax quickly. At this point my group and I felt like we had the process of filming down packed. This is because from the previous time, we had gained much experience, making it easier. The next scene we filmed was also in the car, of me and Michelle holding hands, which was easily filmed by Rose in the back seat. My group and I filmed a scene where me and Michelle walked away from each other in sync. This one was a little more challenging because we had to make sure to record it in the time frame of seven seconds and to make sure to walk away at the same time for the aesthetic of the video. Lastly, to end the video me and Michelle walk away as friends showing an end of the toxic relationship. This was displayed by us coming back together and walking away in the distance which was a fairly easy clip to film.

Overall, through time the process of filming became much easier for us to do and act out. At first I had some struggles as anyone else would have. This differs now as I feel I am almost a pro at filming.

Thank you Media Study Crew for coming back to listen to my blog, till next time!
