Putting Together Ivy! The Music Video

 How is my Media Study Bloggers doing? I hope everything is well, but in todays blog I will be talking about the process of starting the editing of my music video. For my group, I am the assigned editor, since I know the most about editing. Since I will be editing, this will be a learning process for team including Michelle and Rose. We started editing today and are hopeful to finish the near future. 

My group and I first selected the best clips out of our numerous tries. This is because for each scene we had multiple tries, so we tried to select our favorite ones that would look the best for a music video. After selecting the clips, I imported them on CapCut. I chose CapCut because I a most familiar with it as I have used it before including on my commercial about myself. Because of my familiarity with it, the process of showing and explaining to my group was easier. I then imported my audio into CapCut, but first showed my group members. I did this by first screen recording the audio off of YouTube and then important only the sound into CapCut. Additionally, I started by re-arranging the clips the way I liked it and made sure each scene fit with the time we had planned. This was a little challenging as I had to make it exact. Although it was difficult, during the filming process, for each scene my group and I recorded a few extra seconds to ensure wiggle room if we needed it. After re-arranging the scenes I showed my group how I did it and replayed it a few times to ensure all of us liked the way it flowed. Having our scenes flow was something that was very important to my group and I, as we wanted to show a clear storyline. Through our music video, there was a toxic relationship displayed, which I wanted clearly shown throughout the flow of our scenes together. I ran back through every step to show my teammates to ask if they had any questions. If they did, as thoroughly as possible, I explained the process of how I did it so they could know for future references.

I learned how to use various types of technology in the process of making my commercial. One of these included the features and functions of my phone. Production Blog: Change is good!

Hello Media Studies Crew, I am back. Today, my group and I will be going over our previous film. This time, we're considering the prior complaint we received from one of our friends. Although the majority of the feedback was favorable, we are revising CapCut to make it the best it can be. One of her main complaints was the audio. I then (the editor) asked Michelle and me to work together to see if we could make our video sound louder. This led us into a major internet loophole. Michelle searched on TikTok, which has become the new Google. I spent some time looking through YouTube videos for a solution. After what felt like 500 videos, we discovered a solution. On CapCut, they had the option of increasing the media volume, which we did. We also finished evaluating minor matters such as the timing of our videos. Genre - Horror  Common camera angles used in horror videos/movies would be high-angles often used to make characters appear vulnerable, low-angle to make characters look more dominant (often the bad one), Dutch angles are also used to create a sense of imbalance and close-ups are used to show fear on someone’s eyes or show a curvature smile.
