Process of Producing: Its official!

How are you guys doing, my Media Study Crew! Today my group mates and I began the filming process of our music video. Today we filmed the first six scenes in our music video. The reason why we didn't film all of them today is because we did not want to rush the process. We want to truly get every scene as to close to perfect as we can, therefore rushing it would not be the best option. For our first six scenes it wasn't a short process but being able to see it start to come together was rewarding.

For the first scene, we were trying to recreate a deja vu moment within one of our group members, Michelle. This took us a few tries as it was our first scene we filmed, so we had to get used to filming in public spaces. After a few tries we got down the purpose we were trying to convey in that scene. By the time of the second scene, public filming came easy to us. We realized that no one was caring of paying attention to us filming in public, so there is nothing to be embarrassed of. The third and fourth scene took a minimal amount of tries to complete. There weren't many people around in the restaurant we chose to film at, overall limiting the amount of people delaying our process. For the next fifth scene we are doing a split scene so we filmed each individual persons perspective, so we are able to put it into one scene displayed by a split scene. For our last scene it wasn't as important in the acting element, but more in the aspect of us getting the right angle. We wanted to show a over the shoulder shot of Michelle stalking Owens social media account.

Although my group wasn't able to finish in the first day, we accomplished a lot. We took our time and got to the result we wanted, which is most important. We will come to the beach soon again to film the rest of our six scenes. Reflecting back on this filming day, the hardest part was accommodating a day that worked for all of us. This is because we all all have different schedules, making it hard for us to meet up on one day. We all have different schedules but are able to make time for an important project like this. Overall, this group was a new experience and allowed me and my group to learn different aspects of filming and acting. I am happy with the way things are turning out so far and hope they continue to succeed.

Thank you guys for coming along with me once again! See you guys soon, Media Study Crew!
