Production Blog: Final decision on location

Hi media studies crew, its been quite a while, but I am here to catch you up! My partners and I are wrapping up our choice today over the ultimate task's location. In order to select which of our houses would be used for the filming sequences, my group agreed to get together over the weekend. Owen showed Michelle and I his kitchen, living room, and attic first. These are a few of the places I considered because they were used for the majority of the filming. After this, my group and I went on our own explorations to our families or friends houses, hunting for the best choice. I visited my grandmas house and cousins house but found a few complications with them. In my grandmas house, it is slightly small so it would be hard for us to do certain scenes where we move around a lot. This could also cause safety issues if we run into something by accident. I also visited my cousins house to see if that was a potential option. The house has more space compared to the last one, but the lighting isn't very good. This could cause our video to have bad quality or lighting.  The benefit of both of these houses is that the area is pretty silent, so there wouldn't be a lot of distractions. The next day, our crew swung by my place to run through some scenes. When it came time to start filming, I was all about giving the audience cool effects while working in a small space. We played around with different props and ideas, eventually deciding to shoot the whole thing at my house. It just made sense - easy for everyone to get to and we could film whenever we wanted. Plus, my house is has many different rooms and spaces and sparked even more ideas for the film. We all pitched in, throwing around new ideas for props and scenes. Catch you later, media studies crew! Onto the next step!
