Reflection of Commercial

 Hey Media Study Crew, welcome back to the blog of the day. Today I will be reflecting and talking about my commercial and the process. I learned how to use various types of technology in the process of making my commercial. One of these included the features and functions of my phone. Although, I along with many others are constantly on our phones, doesn't mean we know all the features they can do. When I use my phone it is for typical things like calling, texting, watching videos, or looking things up. When making my commercial I learned the more in depth the features my phone was capable of. For example, I found out easier ways to crop videos on my phones and different shortcut features available to me. Along with features on my phone I learned how to use CapCut. Like I have stated in previous blogs, I have used CapCut before. Therefore, I was slightly familiarized with the app, but no completely. Some things I learned on the app were how to flow my audios together, fade videos, and transition from videos to pictures. These findings can help guide me to complete tasks like these faster, or even make videos for the future. 

During this process of putting a project together a learned a few different things. One of the most important things that I learned is that planning is key. During this process, we had quite a few things to plan for. I also learned that planning it very beneficial to overall completing a project. In previous projects I have tend to just do them on the spot. The results vary but what doesn't vary when I do that is the stress levels. In this project it differs because we had to plan the pictures we would pick, videos, and audios. After planning I observed that I was left for me to do was put it together rather then have to think about everything at once. I also learned that staying organized is key and to keep track of what you have to do. In this project the production blogs are what help keep me organized throughout the process of making my commercial. 

For the next project I believe there a few improvements that I can make. I am satisfied with the media that I chose for this commercial but I would like to learn how to flow them better. What I mean by this is that I would like to learn how to make them flow into each other better to make it look more professional. I would also like to learn how to use the filters to the best of their ability. On a plethora of apps there is an option to chose a filter. These are used to make pictures stick out, pop, or made look to have better quality. For different types of pictures it is recommended to use different filters. For example, you would use a different filter for a picture of the forest compared to a selfie. I would like to obtain more knowledge on the exact filters that are best to use for different types. Although, there are advancements that I can make to this commercial, I can reflect and take these as notes for my next one.
