Production Blog

Hello Media Study Crew, welcome back to the blog of the day! So far I have imported the pictures, media, and have began to play around with the audio. Today I went further in depth with the placement of the audios alongside the media. Along with that I started to touch on any of the effects and filters to see if I wanted to add any to my commercial.

After choosing the audios that I felt best represented me I moved on to importing them. I then continued onto choosing which one I wanted to put first or if I wanted to try to blend them. I used a slight amount of time just mix matching the audios and seeing the way I liked it best. I chose the more upbeat parts for some of my videos that showed the social fun side of me. On the other hand I used the more slower pats of the songs to show me growing up, and more sentimental stuff.  I was already finished playing around with the pictures and videos but I did slightly move them around to match the audios.  I adjusted the lengths of the audios and where I wanted them to be and bam! Just like that I eventually got it to a point where I pleasantly enjoyed the flow of my commercial and was happy to move forward with it.

Although I have used the app before, I am not completely used to all the features. One of the features being the effects and filters. I started to dive into the effects to see if I would like to add any to my video. I went through most of the options and decided on a few I would like to try with my commercial. I imported and took out a few of the effects into my commercial, to see the overall flow of it. Some of these ended up working perfectly with my video but some did not. During this process I also had to make sure that the effects did not negatively clash with the audios.

Additionally, the filters is something else that I wanted to use in my commercial. Even though it may not make the biggest difference, it adds emphasis to some of the videos. For example, one of the videos that I am in an outside setting. Some of the filter options on this app add color to the trees to make them bolder and pop out more. There are also more basic filters like a black and white filter to add more of an emotion tone,  of me growing up. It adds to the story that growing up can be seen in different lights, and in one perspective can be seen as sad. I did not use filters on all of my clips, as I didn't desire to, but I did add some where I thought it was beneficial.

Well per usual, this has come to an end my media studies crew. Thank you guys for tuning in once again to learn more about the process of my commercial. Peace out Media Studies Crew!
