Production Blog

Whats going on media studies crew! I have began my commercial and want to share the process so far with you guys! I would like to begin first off to share about the app that I am using which is called Capcut. After putting my pictures into the app I began playing around with the order of the pictures and videos. I am slightly informed about this and how to use this app but not completely. I have used this app before for previous videos, assignments, projects, etc. I first started to play around with the app and get familiar with the tools. I tried to use the text tool, importing audios, and some of the filters to enhance my pictures.  I became more familiar and started to import the pictures I wanted to use. Before choosing the app CapCut, I was thinking of some other options. Some of the other apps that I was considering to use were apps like Imovie, video star, etc. After sorting through all of my options I still decided to use the one that I started with, CapCut.

I began to start to use the app after choosing it, and imported my pictures. I was deciding weather I wanted to set up my media in a chronological order of my life or just randomly placed. I ended up choosing doing it in chronological order to show the flow of my life throughout the years. I have decided to try to start this video with a video of me when I was younger to show the audience more about myself. The actual part of me putting in the pictures and videos was not a long process, but the actual placement that I wanted them in, was a little more challenging to finalize. On a side note, Capcut made this process with the importing pictures and videos of media extremely easy to use. Although I was already slightly familiar with how to use it, I have never made a full on commercial on there, but it was very adaptable to learn.

Like I talked about in my research and planning blog, I have already chosen the videos, pictures and audios. So I began to figure out how to import the audios and quickly caught on. I didn't start placing the bits and pieces of the audio along the commercial yet, but I did screen record them to collect the audio. I simply did this by going to the song that I wanted, screen recording it and them placing it into the commercial. Although the audio doesn't match with the video yet, soon I will start to match different parts of the audio with different parts in the commercial.

To conclude this production blog, this project is still a leaning process with slight effort but it will be wort it in the end. It so far, shows a accurate representation of me and the way I live my life. Once again, thanks to my media study crew for attending my blogs and walking with me through this process. Peace out MS Crew!
